Pontresina has a lot to offer for both young and old explorers and adventurers. In winter, the picturesque village is a popular starting point for unique experiences in the snow. Ice climbing, ski touring, and snowshoeing are typical sports for the former mountaineering village. Cross-country skiers also get their money's worth here and will find an extensive network of perfectly groomed trails. And of course, skiing is not forgotten in Pontresina. The San Spiert ski area awaits families with its slopes and toboggan run, while Diavolezza boasts a spectacular array of challenges. The Diavolezza/Lagalb ski area is home to the longest glacier run in Switzerland. With a gradient of 86%, Lagalb is also home to the steepest downhill run in Graubünden.
