Description
There are many kilometres of cross-country skiing tracks across the quiet moorland (skating and classic style, and a floodlit course). For winter walkers, there are prepared footpaths through unspoilt nature. There are also guided snow-shoe walking tours and rides by horse-drawn sledge across the moor. On the gentle slopes near Rothenthurm, Bennau and Biberegg there are family-friendly ski-lifts where there are hardly ever any queues.
