Description

With 30 kilometers of runs, Nara is the largest winter sports area in the Blenio Valley. Located above Leontica, it extends from 1400 meters to 2200 meters a.s.l. Bassa di Nara, the highest lift-served point, is located on the ridge between the Blenio Valley and Leventina. The stunning, sweeping view encompasses the Gotthard Massif and extends as far as the Rheinwaldhorn (Adula). This winter sports area also offers 10 kilometers of toboggan runs, 7 kilometers of winter hiking trails and a Snow Park with jumps and rails.

Slopes

The Nara ski-area offers well-prepared slopes for everyone; for families with kids, for extreme sport cracks, for ski fans and obviously also snowboarders.

Unique in Southern Switzerland, the Nara sled run allows unforgettable emotions to the whole family. With the chair-lift from Leontica, you first reach Cancorì, from where you continue with the second chairlift to climb up to Pian Nara. The sled run, which starts in Pian Nara, is 5 km long and drops for 480 m to Cancorì. It winds its way through snow-covered slopes, conifer forests and groups of alpine huts of rare beauty. If the snow conditions permit it, you can extend the downhill run for additional 5 km from Cancori to Leontica on a mountain road reserved for sleds.
